Katherine is the Director of Instructional Design at Samford University.

Membership Coordinator / Board Member
Courtney's educational experience in media and technology, combined with her professional experience as an educator and a passion for training, led her to the field of instructional design. She is a Senior Instructional Design Specialist at
The University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Crystal Butler

Crystal is an experienced instructional designer, and former librarian and teacher. She is proficient in educational technology, design principles, and learning theory. Crystal is a Senior Instructional Designer at The University of Alabama.
Shelby Luna
Secretary
Dr. Shelby Luna is the Director of Distance Education and Information Technology at Northwest Shoals Community College, where she leads online and hybrid program development, faculty training, and technology-driven strategies to expand access and equity in digital learning. She holds a Ph.D. In Adult Education from Auburn University, with research focused on demographic barriers, retention, and self-directed learning. In addition to her administrative role, she teaches as an Adjunct Instructor in English and authored Career and Technical English Writing (Cognella, 2024). Dr. Luna has presented at state and regional conferences on engaging distance learning environments and has held leadership roles in various state organizations. Her work reflects a commitment to lifelong learning, instructional innovation, and empowering diverse student populations.
Raeann Bailey

Raeann is an experienced L&D professional with a background in software, corporate training, and instructional design. She is skilled in developing skills-based training, technical writing, and data analysis. Raeann is the Instructional Designer Lead for Financial Affairs at The University of Alabama at Birmingham.
