The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is seeking an INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN SPECIALIST to assists faculty with the creation of new and adaptation of existing courses for the online or blended environment; through one-on-one consultations, workshops and online training. Supports faculty use of technology in teaching. Produces computer graphics and layout of newsletters and/or web sites. Makes recommendations and/or formats instructional material for selected web applications. May offer instruction and guidance to UAB staff and faculty in the use of distributed, blended and e-learning platforms. Tracks trends in technology. Introduces and implements emerging educational technologies while assisting faculty with its development, assessment and evaluation.
